Other auxiliary items

Next to the functional kickstand (and I use two kickstands on my touring Avatar) I find my most useful accessory to be what I call my ‘rear cog mirror’.  Because you are unable to see the rear cog, this mirror allows me to double check, at a glance, the current gear.  You normally pretty well “know” what gear you are in but it is nice to be able to confirm.  Depending on the variables, you sometimes will find yourself a gear off.  Yes, I prefer the old friction shifters.
